変化について： AAにつながって酒瓶に栓をするようになる前の私は、どんな話題であっても、意見が食い違った時には、自分が正しいのだと決定する立場にいました。
時間はかかりましたが、AAにつながってからは、意見が食い違っても口を挟まず、黙っているようになりました。私にとって、口を閉じていることがどれほど難しかったか、想像もつかないでしょう。でも、もうこれ以上「何でも知っている人物 (Know it All)」でいる必要が無くなったのです。そして、それが私にとってうまくいくやり方なのです。

It took time, but after I joined AA, I kept my mouth shut when it came to differences of opinion. You can't even begin to understand how difficult that was for me to keep my mouth shut. However, I no longer need to be "The Know it All" individual any longer. And that's the way it works for me.
