とテーマ（トピック）をありがとう。
少し前に、謙虚さについてのある定義にたまたま出会いました。それ以来、その言葉がずっと心に残っています。
それが完璧な捉え方かどうかは分かりませんが、私には助けになったので、皆さんにもシェアしたいと思います。
その定義とは、「謙虚さとは誇大性の反対である」というものです。誇大性には、自分を過大に見る場合もあれば、逆に過小に見る場合も含まれます。
その定義を聞くと、謙虚さとは“right-sized（等身大であること）”だと表現されるのを耳にした時のことを思い出します。
私の考え方は、しばしば誇大的でした。自分を必要以上に大きく見る時もあれば、逆に必要以上に小さく見る時もありました。
今はそこまでではありませんが、そうなってしまう可能性は、いつでもどこかにあります。
祈りは助けになります。
黙想は助けになります。
他の仲間たちと話すことも助けになります。

Not too long ago, I happened on a definition of humility that has sat with me for a while. It's probably not the perfect way to look at it but has helped me so I'll pass it along. That definition is that humility is the opposite of grandiosity (either negative or positive). It reminds me of the times I've heard humility described as being right-sized.
My thinking was often grandiose, either way overinflated or way underinflated. Not so much anymore, but always out there as a possibility.
Prayer helps. Mediation helps. Talking to others helps.
