と、「謙虚さ」というトピックをありがとうございます。今週、
ソブラエティ神様・ハイヤーパワーとつながり、お酒を飲まない生活
の節目のバースデーを迎えられる皆さん、おめでとうございます！

に新しく来られた仲間の皆さん、ようこそ！
立ち直ったアルコホーリクのドミニクです。謙虚さは、
12のステップ12ステッププログラム、回復のため原理、AAの基本プログラム。
全体に織り込まれています。どのステップにも、この（謙虚さの）原理が何らかの形で含まれています。私は、謙虚さがイエス・キリストの生涯と伝道においてもその中心となる美徳であったということに、とても興味があります。
私は、『アルコホーリクス・アノニマス（

）』の提案に従って、
スポンサーAAプログラムなどを指導してくれる先輩役のメンバー
と共に
12のステップ12ステッププログラム、回復のため原理、AAの基本プログラム。
を最後まで取り組んだ人は、ある程度の謙虚さを身につけるものだと信じています。しかし、すべての霊的原理がそうであるように、祈りや
サービスAAの奉仕活動
、継続的なステップワークから離れてしまうと、謙虚さもまた薄れていくことがあります。
回復の場であるAAに来た当初、私にはまったく謙虚さがありませんでした。神は、ようやく助けを求める気持ちになれるように、私を謙虚にさせてくれたのだと思っています。そして今の私は、神によってそうしてもらうより先に、自ら進んで謙虚さを選びたいと思っています。
現在の私にいくらかでも謙虚さがあるのだとすれば、それは神を求め、
12のステップ12ステッププログラム、回復のため原理、AAの基本プログラム。
を実践することを通して与えられた贈り物です。とは言え、それを求め続け、実践し続けることが大切です。もしやめてしまえば、そうして手にしたものは、少しずつ失われていくでしょう。

』から、謙虚さの定義を分かち合ってくださった仲間、ありがとうございます。その中でも、私が特に好きなものの一つはこの箇所です：
「謙遜とは、自分が誰であり何であるかをはっきりと知ることにほかならない。それなしには人格的な成長をめざすことはできない」(

謙虚さの定義は「自分を卑下すること」ではないのだと、私に思い出させてくれます。それは、自分自身を正直に見つめ、神への依存を受け入れ、そして神が私たちに望んでおられる人間へと成長していこうとする意志を持つことなのです。

Good morning ESH:
Thanks Michael, for chairing this week, and the topic of humility this week. Congratulations to anyone celebrating a sobriety milestone this week! Welcome to anyone new to ESH!
Dominic recovered alcoholic. Humility is woven throughout all Twelve Steps. Every step contains some measure of this principle. I find it fascinating that humility was also a central virtue in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
I believe that anyone who has worked all Twelve Steps with a sponsor, according to the instructions in the Alcoholics Anonymous, gains a measure of humility. Like all spiritual principles, however, humility can fade if we drift away from prayer, service, and continued step work.
When I first came to recovery, I had no humility. I believe God humbled me so that I would finally become willing to seek help. Today, I would much rather choose humility than have God humble me.
Whatever humility I have today is a gift that has come through seeking God and practicing the Twelve Steps. But it is important to continue seeking and practicing it. If I stop, those gains will slowly disappear.
Thank you to everyone who shared definitions of humility from Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions. One of my favorites is:
“Humility amounts to a clear recognition of what and who we really are, followed by a sincere attempt to become what we could be.”
That definition reminds me that humility is not thinking less of ourselves. It is seeing ourselves honestly, accepting our dependence on God, and becoming willing to grow into the people He intends us to be.
