Thank you Dominic for your topic and your story, and to all who have shared. I'm Tony a recovered alcoholic, grateful to be here again with you all.
Kim, the chairperson of the first meeting I attended spent many hours with me in our after-the-meeting, meeting and was my temporary Sponsor. I will always be grateful for the time and support he gave.
Bill M, who schooled me with logical options on step three, came close, but was more a mentor than a sponsor.
Josef T - who's English was not very good, and always kept a dictionary with him was the first AA I felt really comfortable with, mainly due to his insane humour, and the acronym's he challenged me with. He got to know me better than anyone, at that stage - introducing me to the brochure "Q and A on Sponsorship" - P15, and to 'P13 - "Do you think you're different?", which has 13 pen pictures of different AA's, and an intro by Bill W.
Peter BI, my closest buddy, mentor and Sponsor, who introduced me to ESH, got to know me inside out. Sadly, all have passed away, and all I know about being a sponsor I try to pass on, through the aid of group 'Big Book', 'Twelve and Twelve' and 'Step' meetings.
Thanks for being here again for me reminding me that all I practice has been freely passed on to me.
