の今週のミーティングへようこそ。

ミーティングの構成は、司会者がその週のトピックを選び、グループの誰もがそのトピックについて分かち合ったり、あるいはトピックの代わりに、その月に対応するステップや伝統についてシェアすることができます。例えば、11月にはステップ11や伝統11についてシェアすることができます。より多くの仲間の参加を促すことを目的として、最近このように変更しました。

はメールを用いたグループであるため、シェアする人は、他の形式のミーティングで見られるような笑顔やうなずく姿が見えません。私たちの中には、メールで返事を送ることでその共感や賛同を伝える人もいます。しかし、グループ全体への投稿を最小限に抑えるために、個人的なメッセージはグループを通さず、直接その人に送るようお願いしています。

のミーティングは日曜日の未明早朝以降（米国東部標準時）に始まり、次の土曜日の午後11時59分まで、メンバーは分かち合いを行うことが出来ます。全メンバーは、ご自身のAA記念日である・デートに分かち合いを行うことが推奨されています。AA以前の生活がどうだったか。何が起こって、現在はどうなっているかを、グループの仲間に教えてください。

トニー、今週のミーティングをリードする機会をありがとう。

今回、私は「恩寵／恵み（Grace）」をテーマに選びました。回復の中で人生に大きな影響を与えた霊的な贈り物について、ひとつでも複数でもシェアしてください。あるいは、もしよければ、ステップ4についての体験をシェアしていただいても構いません。

私は治療施設に入った初日に、Grace（恩寵／恵み）を体験しました。その夜、寝る支度をしているとき、一日中まったく酒のことを考えていなかったことに気づいたのです。「一体何が起きたんだ？」と思いました。当時は分かりませんでしたが、今では、スピリット（霊性）が自分の中で目覚め、飲酒へのとらわれを取り除いてくれたのだと分かります。自分にはできなかったことを、神が代わりにしてくれていたのです。それが、私にとって最初の恵みの体験でした。

3日後、私はピンクの雲に乗った状態で初めてのミーティングにふわりと入っていきました。外側から見た私の状況は何も変わっていませんでした。失業中のままで、借りたお金も底をつきかけていました。それでも、自分の内側では理解できない何かが起きていました。私は心の底から幸福感を感じていました。何年ぶりかに、腹の底から笑ったのです。長く苦しい旅の末に、ようやく自分の帰る場所を見つけたような感覚がありました。典型的なアルコホーリクなので、私はその感覚がもっと欲しくなりました。この素晴らしい感覚を持ち続けたかったのです。ミーティングの場には、自分が欲しいと思う何かがありました。そして、仲間たちが壁に掲げられたステップを指し示してくれました。

私はAAの仲間たちが持っているものを欲しいと思い、仲間たちがしているのと同じことをやりました。ミーティングに通い、ステップに取り組み、をしました。AA は私にとって生き方そのものになり、12の約束（第６章の promise）が少しずつ現実になっていきました。その中でも、今もなお最も驚かされるのは、「かつては私たちを困らせた状況にも、直感的にどう対応したらいいのかがわかるようになる」(日本語版 p121)　という約束です。今では、人生の中でどんな「問題」が起きても、そこから抜け出す道が必ず示されるという絶対的な信頼があります。だとしたら、私はなぜ酒を飲む必要があるでしょうか？

私は、自分のそのものを Grace（恩寵／恵み）だと考えています。霊的な助けなしには命を奪われていたであろう病気を持っていなければ、32年前の自分から現在の自分へと辿り着くことは、決してできなかったと思うのです。

WELCOME TO THE ESH WEEKLY MEETING

The structure of an ESH meeting is that the chairperson selects a topic for the week and anyone in the group has the option to share on that topic or as an alternative, a member may share on the step or tradition correlating to the month of the year. For example, in November you may share on Step 11 or Tradition 11. This is a recent change we hope will encourage more participation.

Since ESH is an email-based group, a person who shares does not see the smile or nodding head that he/she does in other meeting formats.

Some of us provide that validation through an email response. In order to keep the postings to a minimum for the entire group, we do request that personal messages be sent directly to that person and not via the Group.

The ESH meeting will begin no earlier than Sunday morning any time after midnight EST and members are requested to post their shares no later than the following Saturday night at 11:59 PM EST. All members are encouraged to share their A.A. anniversary on their annual sobriety date. Tell the group what your life was like before AA, what happened, and what it's like today.

Hi everyone, Jeff, alcoholic,

Thanks Tony for the opportunity to lead our meeting this week.

I’ve chosen the topic Grace. Please share about one or more of the spiritual gifts you received that had a major impact on your life in recovery. Or, if you prefer, share on your experience with Step four.

I experienced Grace on my first day in treatment. I was getting ready for bed that night when I realized I hadn’t thought about a drink the whole day. I wondered what the hell had happened. I didn't realize it at the time, but today I know Spirit had awoken in me and removed my obsession to drink. God was doing for me what I could not do for myself. It was my first experience of Grace.

Three days later I floated into my first meeting on a pink cloud. My outside circumstances hadn’t changed -- I was still unemployed and running out of borrowed money-- but something was going on inside me that I didn’t understand. I felt downright blissful. I laughed, really laughed for the first time in years. I had the sense that I had finally found my way home after a long painful journey. Like any good alcoholic I wanted more. I wanted to keep this great feeling alive. There was something happening in the rooms that I wanted. You pointed to the steps on the wall.

I wanted what you had so I did what you did: meetings, steps. service. AA became a way of life for me and the Twelve Promises began to come true. Of all the promises, I continue to be most amazed by "you will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle you." Today I have absolute faith that I'll be shown the way out of any "problem" that pops up in my life. Why would I drink?

I look at my alcoholism as Grace. I could not have travelled from where I was almost 32 years ago to where I am today without having a disease that was going to kill me without spiritual help,
