アルコホーリクのスアンです。パム、ミーティングの司会をしてくれてありがとう。そしてスローガンをテーマにしてくれてありがとう。
「スローガンは、今のあなたの生活の中でどんな形で役に立っていますか？」
ああ、もちろんです！最初にAAに来たとき、スローガンが壁じゅうに貼ってあるのを見ました。正直、ちょっと安っぽいと思いました。とても単純に見えたからです。私がそれまでに聞いたことがあったのはKISS（Keep it simple, stupid - シンプルにやりなよ）だけでした。「こんなのバカみたいに簡単なんだから、あなたたちの助けなんていらないわ」と思っていたのです。でも、物事をややこしくしているとき、これらのスローガンのどれもが、私を助けてくれました。信じてください、私はあらゆることを複雑にできます。ときには、「覚えていられる」のがスローガンだけ、ということすらあります。
私がしがみついているひとつは、「次に行うべき "正しいこと" を行う」です。次に何をすべきか考えられないとき、立ち止まらないためにこの言葉を使います。行動することは私を停滞から守ってくれますが、それは正しい行動でなければなりません。そうでないと、神さまは私が学ぶまで、同じ課題を何度でも出してきます。
もうひとつは「これもまた過ぎ去るもの」です。腎臓結石のように通り抜けていく痛いものかもしれませんが、それでも過ぎ去ります（良いことも悪いことも）。
そしていつも思い出すのは、「analyze（分析する）」という単語には“anal（細かくて神経質）”という言葉が入っている、ということです。
ここにいてくれてありがとう。みなさんのことが大好きです。そして、あなたが何をしようとその気持ちは変わりません！ (^^

Hi everyone,
My name is Suanne and I am an alcoholic. Thanks Pam for chairing this meeting and offering the topic on slogans.
“Are the slogans in any form a part of your life today?”
Oh my gosh, yes! When I first came into AA, I saw the slogans all over the walls. Honestly I thought it was kinda trite. They were so simple. The only one I had ever heard before was KISS: Keep it simple, stupid. I thought, well these sayings are so stupid I didn’t need y’all’s help on them. All of the slogans have helped me, especially when I am complicating things. And believe me, I can complicate anything. Sometimes the only thing I CAN remember are the slogans.
One that I cling to is: Doing the next right thing. When I can’t think of the next step to take, I use this to keep from getting stuck. Action keeps me from getting stuck, but it has to be the right one. Otherwise God keeps giving me the lesson over and over till I do get it right.
Another is: This too shall pass. It might pass like a kidney stone but it will pass. (Good and Bad).
And then there is always: there is a reason the word “anal” is in the word analyze.
