」のヨーゼフは、第4章をもう一度読み直すようにと言い、片面に「PBPGINFWMY（※）」という頭字語（アクロニム）が書かれた紙切れを渡してくれました。それからヨーゼフと私が再び会うまでには、2週間ほどかかりました。
ヨーゼフは、私が「宿題」を持っていることが明らかだったのです。つまり、「自分なりに理解した神」を定義すること。それを私はビルの物語の中で見つけました。「宇宙の精神（Spirit of the Universe）」としてです。
「意欲を持つ」ために、私はステップ３の祈りのそれぞれの文の最後に「今日（today）」という言葉を付け加えました。そしてそれは、平安の祈りとヨーゼフの紙切れと一緒に、毎朝ベッドから起き上がる前にぶつぶつ唱える習慣になりました。
ヨーゼフから渡されたその紙切れは、「どうか辛抱してください、神はまだ私を完成させていません」という意味でした。これで私は十分に安心し、ステップ4から
プログラム12ステッププログラム、回復のため原理、AAの基本プログラム。
の残りを進めることができました。

AAでは特に、他人や自分を責めすぎそうなときにこの言葉を思い出す人が多いです。

Thank you Bobbie for your lead topic, and to all who have contributed. I'm Tony a recovered alcoholic, grateful to be here again with you all.
I think I was one of the frogs in your story, Laurie. When I discussed step three my 'sponsor' Josef, asked me to re-read chapter Chapter Four, and gave me a slip of paper with the acronym PBPGINFWMY, written on one side. It was a couple of weeks before Josef and I got together again.
It was clear to Josef that I had some homework to do, to define the 'God of my understanding', which I uncovered in Bill's Story, as the "Spirit of the Universe"
To assist my willingness, I added the word 'today' at the end of each sentence in the third step prayer and along with the Serenity prayer and Josef's slip of paper became what I would mumble, on a daily basis, before getting out of bed.
The piece of paper which I was given by Josef represented - Please Be Patient, God Is Not Finished With Me Yet. I was then comfortable enough to continue with the rest of the programme, starting with step four.
