の今週のミーティングへようこそ。

ミーティングの構成は、司会者がその週のトピックを選び、グループの誰もがそのトピックについて分かち合ったり、あるいはトピックの代わりに、その月に対応するステップや伝統についてシェアすることができます。例えば、9月にはステップ9や伝統9についてシェアすることができます。より多くの仲間の参加を促すことを目的として、最近このように変更しました。

はメールを用いたグループであるため、シェアする人は、他の形式のミーティングで見られるような笑顔やうなずく姿が見えません。私たちの中には、メールで返事を送ることでその共感や賛同を伝える人もいます。しかし、グループ全体への投稿を最小限に抑えるために、個人的なメッセージはグループを通さず、直接その人に送るようお願いしています。

のミーティングは日曜日の未明早朝以降（米国東部標準時）に始まり、次の土曜日の午後11時59分まで、メンバーは分かち合いを行うことが出来ます。全メンバーは、ご自身のAA記念日である・デートに分かち合いを行うことが推奨されています。AA以前の生活がどうだったか。何が起こって、現在はどうなっているかを、グループの仲間に教えてください。

スー、私にシェアをお願いしてくれてありがとう、そして私たちのグループへの奉仕をありがとう。必要としている人にも、そうでない人にも祈りを送ります。

ステップ3
「私たちの意志と生き方を、自分なりに理解した神の配慮にゆだねる決心をした」

このステップは、私にとって不可能なものでした。私は神はいると信じていましたが、神は自分を攻撃しようとしていると思っていました。ゆだねる決心など、とてもできるはずがありません。それでもは、「このステップはを実践するために必要なのです」と言いました。私は「あなたは私の話を聞いていないわ！」と答えました。すると彼女は「を読んでください」と言いました。そしてしばらくの間、私は「私にはできません、次のステップに飛ばしてください」と言い続けました。まるで「十字架に張り付けにしないでください、助けてください」と言っているような気分でした。

ある日、の彼女は私への我慢の限界が来ました。彼女はお気に入りの言い方で私に尋ねました。「は持ってる？ステップの本も、辞書も持ってる？」私は「もちろんです、私はルールに従うタイプです」と答えました。すると彼女は言いました。「を開いて、ステップの箇所を見つけて。見つけたら、ステップ3を声に出して読んでほしい」私は「わかりました」と答え、ステップを読み始めました。「決心をした…」すると彼女は大声で「ストップ！」と言い、もう一度読むように指示しました。私は読み直しましたが、また「ストップ！」と言われました。私は「何が間違えているのですか？」と尋ねました。

それがこのステップが求めているすべてです。行動すること、そしてやる気を持つことが、そこに至る方法です。「さあ、ステップの本を手に取り、今日から30日間、毎日ステップを読みなさい。ステップ3についてはまた後で話しましょう」私はそれを実行しました。そして考え方が変わりました。私は、自分が理解する神（の概念）を、違ったものに変えなければならないことに気づいたのです。

こうして、私は「自分が理解できる神」を見つけるという、困難な作業を始めました。いろいろな宗教を調べ、本を読みました。私にはやる気がありました。5年のソーバーの旅の中で、しっくりくるを見つけました。それは大変なことでした。落胆することもありました。大切なAAの友人が助けてくれました。私たちは同じ宗教的背景を持っていたからです。私があることについて彼女に質問すると、彼女は言いました。「ああボビー、それは教会のルールであって、神のルールではないわ」最初、私はショックを受けました。

それから私は考え直し、（彼女の考え方に）同意するようになりました。私は、そんな考えを抱いただけで神に罰せられるのではと恐れていました。それが、私にとって最も長く、恐れを感じるステップでした。しかし、私は今もシラフで生活しており、自分が理解するは一度も私を傷つけたことがなく、私のは子どものひとりとして私を愛してくれていると信頼しています。その苦労と痛みは価値があり、私を成長させてくれました

WELCOME TO THE ESH WEEKLY MEETING

The structure of an ESH meeting is that the chairperson selects a topic for the week and anyone in the group has the option to share on that topic or as an alternative, a member may share on the step or tradition correlating to the month of the year. For example, in September you may share on Step 9 or Tradition 9. This is a recent change we hope will encourage more participation.

Since ESH is an email-based group, a person who shares does not see the smile or nodding head that he/she does in other meeting formats. Some of us provide that validation through an email response. In order to keep the postings to a minimum for the entire group, we do request that personal messages be sent directly to that person and not via the Group.

The ESH meeting will begin no earlier than Sunday morning anytime after midnight EST and members are requested to post their shares no later than the following Saturday night at 11:59 PM EST. All members are encouraged to share their A.A. anniversary on their annual sobriety date. Tell the group what your life was like before AA, what happened, and what it's like today.

TOPIC 09/28/2025

Thank you Sue for asking me to share and your service to our group. Sending prayers for those who need them and those who dont.

Step three.
"Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood him"

This was an impossible step for me.I believed there was a god but he was out to get me. No way could I do that. So My sponsor said it was a necessary step to be able to work the program. I told her she was not hearing me. She said read the book. So for a long time I would tell her I can not do it and let me skip to the next one.It was like dont nail me to the cross help me.

One day she had it with me. She said her favorite things to me. Do you have your book, steps book,and dictionary? I said of course I am a rule follower. She said open the Book and find the steps when you do. I want you to read step 3 out loud to me. Ok I did and started to read the step. Made a decision. She yelled STOP, read it again, I did and she again said stop. I said what am I doing wrong?

That is all the step is asking you to do. That is the action and willingness is how you get there. Now you get your step book and read the step every day for 30 days, starting today, we will talk about step 3 again. I did and it changed my thinking. I was going to have to change my God as I understand him.

So I begin the hard job of finding a God as I understand God. I looked at different religions. Read Books. I was willing. I found a HP I could work with in a 5 year journey. It was hard. I would get discouraged, A treasured AA friend helped me because we had the same religious background. I would ask her a question about something. She would say oh Bobbie that are the church rules not Gods. At first I was shocked.

Then I would think about it and agree.I was scared God would strike me dead for that thought. That has been my longest and fear based step. But I am still sober and living my life and my HP as I understand, HP has never hurt me and I trust my HP loves me as one of the kids. It was worth the struggle and pain and helped me grow.
