The change came over me on my last drunk. I was having health problems including auditory and visual hallucinations. I knew I was on my way to death or insanity and I was really scared. From my casual readings of the Big Book I knew what to do. I called out to God for help, admitting that alcohol was stronger than me. I drank again the next day but my wife miraculously got me into the local hospital to dry out one more time. This time I went in with a whole new attitude and I brought my Big Book. I read and followed instructions. I could see light at the end of this long tunnel. Some AA's came and took me to a meeting and I've been free ever since. I have been given a life-saving miracle.
