土曜日の朝、おはようございます。感謝でいっぱいのアルコホーリクのパムです。ドロシー、バースデーおめでとう！これまでにいろんな一日やいろんな年月がありましたね。バースデーを迎える他の仲間にもお祝いを。そして今週のミーティングで「HOW（正直さ、開かれた心、意欲）」が人生でどう働くかをテーマに司会をしてくれて、ありがとう。
ESHExperience, Strength, and Hope - 経験と力と希望グループ
（経験・力・希望）に初めて来られた仲間たち、ようこそ。HOW…それが今の人生でどう機能しているか。この頭文字（HOW）について考えると、よく文字が入れ替わってWHOになるのです。それが私のAAの旅路の始まり方でした。提案されたことは何でもやってみようと心から思えるようになること。そして、自分をそこまで追い詰めた原因の核心に向き合うためには、正直さが求められました。さまざまな意味で心を開くこと ―― たとえば、「調べもせずに否定する」という姿勢を時々取ってしまう自分を手放すことや、自分がアルコホーリクであることを率直に認めることも含まれます。この3つ ―― 文字の並びがどうであれ ―― は、日々機能してくれます。毎日は、いろんな意味で大いなる未知との出会いです。正直さ、開かれた心、そして意欲があることで、私は「次に正しいこと」を選ぶ機会を与えられるのです。（私は毎週月曜日に参加しているミーティングで物品係をしていますが、今週はその補充のためにココアミックスのパックを探すという小さな冒険がありました）今日は、年に一度の家族経営会議で提案するための企画書を書いています……何らかの反対に遭うことになるだろうとは思います。しかし、家族の歴史や現在の状況をじっくりと検討した結果、それをすることが「正しいこと」だと私は確信しています。そんなわけで……ありがとう、ドロシー。みなさん、お元気で。平安を――。

Good Saturday morning…Pam, a grateful alcoholic. Happy birthday, Dorothy!…so many days in so many years and congratulations to anyone else with a birthday. And thank you for leading our meeting this week with HOW as it operates in life. Welcome people new to ESH. HOW…how it’s operative in life today. When I think of this acronym often the letters switch and become WHO as that’s the way my AA journey began. To become willing to do whatever was suggested. And then honesty required to work to the heart of what sent me into that point of reckoning. Openness in many regards…riding self of intermittent practicing “contempt prior to investigation” and being open about being an alcoholic. Those three…no matter how letters arrange…operate daily. Every day presents in many ways a great unknown…honesty, openness, and willingness allow me the opportunity to do the next right thing. (As supply person for a meeting I attend every Monday, this week it became a quest finding coco mix packets to replenish the supply (^^ Today I’m writing a proposal to present at an annual family business meeting…it will likely be met in some way with opposition. Extensive examination of family history and present circumstance tells me it is the right thing to do. On that note…thank you, Dorothy. Stay well everyone. Peace…
