When I think of character defects I remember a little thing comedian Marc Maron said once about his (paraphrasing here):
“So I’m sitting there, and my [character defect] walks in—late, of course, because it’s an asshole. I pour it some tea, and we just stare at each other. Turns out, it just wanted to be acknowledged. Who knew?”
