「第一のことは第一に（First Things First）」というテーマをありがとう、デイブ。私はもう何年も、目が覚めたらすぐにベッドを出てシャワーを浴び、自己中心のとらわれが私を支配する前に祈りと黙想を始める、という習慣を続けています。仕事の日も、休みの日も、休暇中でも、「もっともらしい理由（言い訳）」に惑わされることなく、一日の始まりから問題（つまり私自身＝マイク）とその解決策（それは神）に意識を向けるようにしています。私が気づいたのは、バスルームを出て他の人（最初に会うのは妻です）と関わる頃には、感謝の気持ちと、その日の早い段階で得た導きを受け入れる姿勢とともに、人生への見方が変わっているということです。
私が最も感謝していることの一つは、この
プログラム12ステッププログラム、回復のため原理、AAの基本プログラム。
を作り上げ、それをすべて書き残してくれた草創期のAAメンバーたちの存在です。私は、ただできる限りの意志と誠実さをもって、、その指針に従えばいいのです。
もちろん、これはあくまで私自身の経験にすぎません……あなたの経験とは違うかもしれません。

Welcome to anyone who is new or relatively new to AA or to ESH...I hope you find here what I and many others have found, a way of living which works. Congratulations to any and all celebrating an AA milestone! (Sorry I erased all the shares and can't remember if anyone was celebrating this week)
Thanks Dave for your topic of: "First Things First". For many years now my habit has been that immediately upon awakening I get out of bed and get in the shower, starting my prayers and meditations before the bondage of self settles upon me. Work days, days off, vacations, I don't let any supposed reason (excuse) deter me from pointing my attention to not only the problem (Mike) and the solution which is God from the start of the day. What I have found is that by the time I come out of the bathroom and interact with others (my bride being the first one) my perception of my life has been altered with an attitude of gratitude and the acceptance of whatever guidance I have gotten during the early part of each day.
One of the things I am most grateful for is the early members who put this program together wrote it all down for us...all I have to do is follow direction to the best of my willingness.
Of course this has just been my experience...yours may be different.
