の今週のミーティングへようこそ。

ミーティングの構成は、司会者がその週のトピックを選び、グループの誰もがそのトピックについて分かち合ったり、あるいはトピックの代わりに、その月に対応するステップや伝統についてシェアすることができます。例えば、11月にはステップ11や伝統11についてシェアすることができます。より多くの仲間の参加を促すことを目的として、最近このように変更しました。

はメールを用いたグループであるため、シェアする人は、他の形式のミーティングで見られるような笑顔やうなずく姿が見えません。私たちの中には、メールで返事を送ることでその共感や賛同を伝える人もいます。しかし、グループ全体への投稿を最小限に抑えるために、個人的なメッセージはグループを通さず、直接その人に送るようお願いしています。

のミーティングは日曜日の未明早朝以降（米国東部標準時）に始まり、次の土曜日の午後11時59分まで、メンバーは分かち合いを行うことが出来ます。全メンバーは、ご自身のAA記念日である・デートに分かち合いを行うことが推奨されています。AA以前の生活がどうだったか。何が起こって、現在はどうなっているかを、グループの仲間に教えてください。

みなさん、こんにちは。アルコホーリクのキッツァです。今日こうして皆さんと分かち合えることに感謝しています。私の記念日は1982年4月です。もうそんなに経ったのかと思うと、驚きです。

現在、私はアリューシャン列島で仕事をしています。天候が荒れているので、屋内で人生について考える時間がたくさんあります。その時間の一部を使って、AAのをオーディオで聴いています。

私が聴いて心を動かされたのは、第九章「家族、その後」でした。

最近、娘の夫が、自分はもしかするとアルコホーリクなのではないかと思っていること、そして毎日酒を飲み続け、どんどん悪くなっていることを、ようやく打ち明けました。娘から、知っていたのかと聞かれたので、私は何年も前から気づいていたと答えました。なぜ何も言わなかったのかと聞かれたので、私は何年か前に話したことがあるけれど、「あなたには何も分かっていない」と言われましたよ、と伝えました。

この章で私が気に入った言葉は、ヘンリー・フォードの「人生で最高に価値のあるものは経験である」という言葉です。(p181)　

彼が自分の問題を打ち明けてから、娘に対して私は、自分自身のアルコールとの闘いについて、これまでよりも詳しく話すようになりました。そして、アラノンを通して助けを求めてみたらどうかと勧めました。でも、それはうまくいきませんでした。

この章を聴いていると、今も苦しんでいる人たちに対して、親切に愛情を持って接すること、そして私たちみんなに希望があることを思い出させられます。

私の義理の息子は、自分の力で酒をやめられると固く信じています。こういう話は、決して珍しいものではありません。私は電話を取って彼と話したいと思っています。でも、彼にはまだその準備ができていないので、私はに祈っています。

というわけで、今週のテーマは、第九章のどんなところがあなたの心に響いたか、にします。この章には、じっくり考えてみる価値のあることがたくさんあります。

WELCOME TO THE ESH WEEKLY MEETING

The structure of an ESH meeting is that the chairperson selects a topic for the week and anyone in the group has the option to share on that topic or as an alternative, a member may share on the step or tradition correlating to the month of the year. For example - in November you may share on Step 11 or Tradition 11. We hope this recent change will encourage more participation.

Since ESH is an email-based group, a person who shares does not see the smile or nodding head that he/she does in other meeting formats.

Some of us provide that validation through an email response. In order to keep the postings to a minimum for the entire group, we do request that personal messages be sent directly to that person and not via the Group.

The ESH meeting will begin no earlier than Sunday morning any time after midnight EST and members are requested to post their shares no later than the following Saturday night at 11:59 PM EST. All members are encouraged to share their A.A. anniversary on their annual sobriety date. Tell the group what your life was like before AA, what happened, and what it's like today.

Hello all, Kitza here and alcoholic and thankful to be able to share with you today. My sobriety date is 4/82. How can it be that long.

Currently I am working out on the Aleutian chain. Wild weather so lots of time inside to ponder life. I have used some of that time to pull up the AA big book as an audiable.

The chapter that came moved me to listen to was Chapter 9, The family Afterwards.

My daughters husband recently came clean that he thought he was maybe an alcoholic and had been drinking everyday and getting worse. She asked me if I knew and I told her I had figured it out years ago. She asked why I didn't say anything, I told her I did several years ago and was told I didn't know what I was talking about.

The quote that I liked in this chapter is "Experience is the Supreme value of life," by Henry Ford.

Since he has come clean I have shared more with her about my struggle with alcohol and suggested she get help through Al anon. That did not go well.

Listening to this chapter reminds me to be kind a lovable to those who are still struggling and that there is hope for all of us.

My son-in-law is firm that he can quit on his own and the story is not a new one. I want to pick up the phone and talk to him but he is not ready yet so I pray to my HP.

So this weeks topic is what speaks to you from that chapter. Lots to chew on in there.
