私はそれを「you become(あなたは変わっていく)」と受け止めました。 私はこれを「Godincidences(神様による偶然)」と呼んでいます。

※1 - wet brain

Greetings All
Thank You Susan for Leading us this week, and for your topic. Thank You for travelling with me on this wonderful journey of self discovery. I'm Tony a recovered alcoholic grateful to be here again with you all. Thank You to all who have shared.
I was tempted in my early AA days to think that there was no light at the end of the tunnel, expecting it yo be just another train. But i was fortunate to be exposed to seriously ill alkies at a rehab, and saw several men with little chance of survival, due to alcoholic poisoning, They were described to me as 'wet brains' I saw, first hand, my fate if i did nothing about my problem. These formative years, were scary times for me.
Was i doomed? No! Change was possible if i did what others before me had done. Time i'd previously spent drinking was replaced by study of AA literature, step meetings and service. Had i found a solution? Yes i had, but not the solution in the Big Book. i had not had a Spiritual Awakening. My life was better than it had been, The home atmosphere had changed, but something was missing - i had not had a Spiritual Awakening.
I played AA tapes in the car when travelling to work in the morning and turning a corner, a couple of blocks from the office, one day i noticed an incomplete sign for a new business moving in. I worked in an advertising agency, and the business design was for an another agency Young and Rubicam'. The sign was only partly finished, and said 'You bicam' (which i translated as 'you become'). I drove on by and chuckled to myself, because the tape playing was a Grapevine audio with the subject matter about 'being patient with oneself in recovery'. I recognised this as a Spiritual Experience (the first of many) which i describe as 'Godincidences'.
i have a morning routine consisting of the Third Step prayer; the current day's Daily Reflection; the study of that days topic; the Third Step Prayer; Step 11 morning plan and meditation . Finishing with the Serenity Prater. I'm fortunate to have the time available, and my wife takes her prayers simultaneously after breakfast till 09h30. Mondays, Tuesday and Fridays vary, due to other clashing duties.
At night i review the day and take inventory.
Thank You for being here again for me this week, reminding me 'if i want what you have, i must do what you do'. Peace and Serenity
Tony in Joburg.
