みなさん、こんにちは。アルコホーリクのリン・Cです。神様の恵みが、仲間のみなさんを通して働いてくださったおかげで、1985年5月20日の最初のミーティング以来、私は一度も酒を飲まずに済んでいます。この個人的な奇跡に、心から感謝しています。
現在私は、7日間の船旅を2週連続で楽しんでいて、3か所に寄港し、最後はコスメル（カリブ海、メキシコ）に到着する予定です。こんな風になれるなんて、41年前の私に想像できたでしょうか……。私自身を含め、誰にも想像できなかったでしょう。
私は79歳で、電動車イスと共に一人旅をしています。5000人もの人が乗っている船の上で、静かなひとりの時間を楽しんでいます。ここで私は誰からも必要とされていません。誰かと一緒にいたいと思った時には、自分の「ねぐら」から出てきて、人と交流したり、歓談したりします。そうでない時は一人で過ごしています。
では、私は今、何に感謝しているのでしょう……。それは、この全てに対してです。まるで私のために完璧に整えられた、こんな完璧な人生を、自分が望むことになるなんて、かつては想像したこともありませんでした。

Hi all. I’m Lin C and I’m an alcoholic. By the Grace of God working thru you people I have not had to take a drink since my first meeting on May 20th 1985 and for that personal miracle I am truly grateful.
Today I am on the second week of a back to back 7 day cruise to 3 stops ending with Cozumel. Who could have imagined that 41 years ago… nobody including me.
I am traveling solo with my scooter at 79 and loving the quiet solitude on a boat with 5000 people. Nobody needs me right now. I am alone unless I want company and then I come out of my lair and mix and mingle.
Now what am I grateful for…all of this perfect life set up perfectly for me that I would never have imagined I wanted.
