の今週のミーティングへようこそ。

ミーティングの構成は、司会者がその週のトピックを選び、グループの誰もがそのトピックについて分かち合ったり、あるいはトピックの代わりに、その月に対応するステップや伝統についてシェアすることができます。例えば、11月にはステップ11や伝統11についてシェアすることができます。より多くの仲間の参加を促すことを目的として、最近このように変更しました。

はメールを用いたグループであるため、シェアする人は、他の形式のミーティングで見られるような笑顔やうなずく姿が見えません。私たちの中には、メールで返事を送ることでその共感や賛同を伝える人もいます。しかし、グループ全体への投稿を最小限に抑えるために、個人的なメッセージはグループを通さず、直接その人に送るようお願いしています。

のミーティングは日曜日の未明早朝以降（米国東部標準時）に始まり、次の土曜日の午後11時59分まで、メンバーは分かち合いを行うことが出来ます。全メンバーは、ご自身のAA記念日である・デートに分かち合いを行うことが推奨されています。AA以前の生活がどうだったか。何が起こって、現在はどうなっているかを、グループの仲間に教えてください。

仲間の皆さん、ようこそ。グループの今週のミーティングを開かせてくれて、また話し合いのテーマを提供する機会を与えてくれて、ありがとうございます。テーマか、あるいは今月のステップ（step 5）や伝統（5）について分かち合っていただいても構いません。

間違いなくアルコホーリクのリン・Cです。1985年5月20日に初めてミーティングに出て以来、神の恵みと仲間の皆さんの助けによってソーバーでいます。そして、自分にできる限り、日々感謝して生きています。

AAにつながった時、私は38歳で、15歳と17歳の二人の子どもがいました。結婚は3回経験し、二度未亡人にもなっていました。そして、神は決して私の “親しい相手 (buddy)” ではありませんでした。

仲間の皆さんが、自分自身の話を通して、私がアルコールに対して無力であることを教えてくれました。そして私は、仲間たちの話を聴くうちに、自分の人生がどうにもならない状態になっていて、本当に無力であり、自分ではもう人生をコントロールできなくなっていることがわかったのです。

ステップ2については、仲間たちの話を聞くうちに、私たちを助けることのできる力が存在するのだと、仲間たちが信じていることを知りました。そしてそれは、「自分なりに理解する神」なのだと聞きました。ところがステップ3になると、自分の意志と生き方をその力に委ねるという、到底できそうにない決断をしなければならなかったのです。「えっ、そんなの無理！ 絶対にできない！」という感じでした。

だから私は何か月もの間、1-2-3-2-1-2-3 を行ったり来たりしていました。まさに “AAワルツ” でした。

あれこれ理解しようとせず、とにかくその決断をして、「ただ神を試してみて、どうなるか見てみればいい」と言われた時、それはずっと楽なものになりました。

の29ページ（日本語版 p43）には、なぜこの本の後ろに個人の物語が載せられているのかが書かれています。そして私にとって、それこそがAAの奇跡でした。

他の仲間たちの（経験・力・希望）が、私を生き延びさせてくれました。そして、しらふでい続け、途切れ途切れながらもステップに取り組むだけの時間を与えてくれ、さらに神が「ソーバーで生き続けるのに値する人生」を少しずつ開いてくださったのです。

なので今週のテーマは、「あなたは自分の人生の中で、どのようにステップ3を実践しましたか？ そして、その結果どうなりましたか？」

をさせてくれてありがとう。それでは、ミーティングと分かち合いを始めます。

WELCOME TO THE ESH WEEKLY MEETING

The structure of an ESH meeting is that the chairperson selects a topic for the week and anyone in the group has the option to share on that topic or as an alternative, a member may share on the step or tradition correlating to the month of the year. For example, in November you may share on Step 11 or Tradition 11. This is a recent change we hope will encourage more participation.

Since ESH is an email-based group, a person who shares does not see the smile or nodding head that he/she does in other meeting formats.

Some of us provide that validation through an email response. In order to keep the postings to a minimum for the entire group, we do request that personal messages be sent directly to that person and not via the Group.

The ESH meeting will begin no earlier than Sunday morning any time after midnight EST and members are requested to post their shares no later than the following Saturday night at 11:59 PM EST. All members are encouraged to share their A.A. anniversary on their annual sobriety date. Tell the group what your life was like before AA, what happened, and what it's like today.

Welcome to all and thank you for allowing me to open this weekly meeting of the ESH group and provide a topic for discussion or you may choose to share on the step or tradition of the month.

My name is Lin C and I am definitely an alcoholic. Sober by God’s grace and with your help since my first meeting on May 20, 1985 and as grateful on a daily basis as I know how to be.

When I got to AA I was 38, with 2 children 15-17, had been married 3 times and widowed twice and God was not my buddy for sure.

You told me thru your stories, that I was powerless over alcohol and I could see, again listening to you, that my life was up the creek and I was indeed powerless and management was gone.

Step two after listening, I heard that you believed that there was a power that could help me and it was a God of your understanding and then three I had to make the impossible decision to turn my will and life over to that power. Oh NO No way was that going to happen.

So I bounced back and forth between 1-2-3-2-1-2-3 for many months. The AA waltz for sure.

When I was asked to make that decision without figuring it out and just try God and see how it went… it became much easier.

On page 29 it tells us what the stories in the back of the book were for and for me that was the miracle of AA.

The ESH of others kept me alive long enough to stay sober and work fitfully thru the steps and allowed God to unfold a life worth staying sober for.

So the topic is how did you apply Step 3 in your life and what were the results.
