『伝統のチェックリスト』は魔法のような出版物ですね。そしてマーク、あなたと同じように、私もミーティングでその冊子を手に入れました。
私は今年から、
12ステップ12ステッププログラム、回復のため原理、AAの基本プログラム。
と12伝統のディスカッション・ミーティングに参加しています。そこでは各ステップと伝統を「ラウンドロビン」形式で順番に読み上げます。リーダーが投げかける質問について、その後に話し合いが行われます。『伝統のチェックリスト』を使う事は、ディスカッションを活性化させる素晴らしい方法です。なぜなら、それは求められる行動を、一人一人に問いかけるからです。「私は……しているだろうか？」「私は……したことがあるだろうか？」「私は……だろうか？」というように。
私は、伝統7 ―― 私たち(AA)が自立して運営されること ―― は、AAが生き残るために不可欠だと思います。もしかするとその背景には、ビル・Wと（妻の）ロイスがその日暮らしで住む家もない状態だった頃、ジョン・D・ロックフェラーがビル・Wに週30ドルしか渡さなかったエピソードがあるのかもしれません。どれほど価値ある慈善団体のためであっても、寄付を募るのは簡単なことではないと私は思います。もし私がAAのためにそれ（寄付を募ること）をやったら、どうなるかはだいたい想像がつきます！
私はAAの広報活動を通して、

のその全ての重要性と、AAの創始者たちや草創期の仲間たちが築き上げた素晴らしいものを、（現代の）私たちがいとも簡単に台無しにしてしまう可能性があることを学びました。
再びこの場で私を支えてくれてありがとう。「実践することで進歩成長する」ということを、あらためて思い出させていただきました。

Thank You Mark for leading us this week with a great topic. I'm Tony, recovered alcoholic, grateful to be here again with you all.
'How do the traditions fit in my AA life and how do I practice their principles?'
The Traditions Checklist' is a magic publication, and like yourself Mark, i collected my copy at a meeting.
I've been attending 12 and 12 discussion meetings this year, which reads each step and tradition in a 'round robin' sequence. Discussion follows the reading, on questions posed by the leader. The Traditions Checklist is a great way to stimulate discussion - because it personalises the action required. 'Do i.... ?', 'Have i...?', 'Am i... ?, etc.
I think that tradition Seven - for us to be self-supporting - is vital for AA survival - maybe originally motivated, by John D Rockefeller giving Bill W only $30 a week, when Bill and Lois were living hand-to-mouth, and homeless. I know its not easy to panhandle, even for a worthy charity. If i ever tried that for AA, I've a good idea what the result would be!
I've learned, through PI work the importance of all the Traditions, and how we could easily undo all the good stuff, our founders and pioneers established.
Thanks for being here for me again, reminding me that practice makes progress.
