最近はシェアをすることにも、皆さんのシェアを読むことにも少し怠けがちでした。なぜなのか、自分でもよくわかりません。ため息をついて、「Gmailの容量もすごく取るし、みんなのシェアを読むのにもすごく時間がかかるから、もうグループを抜けてしまおうかな」と思ったりもします。でも……
こうして私はここにいます。そして、マークのシェアが思い出させてくれたように――私は今日も、そしてこれから先も、アルコールを飲む必要はないのです！
時々、私のエゴが「もう大丈夫だよ。37年もソーバーなんだから、もう治っている」とささやきます。「もう酒を飲みたいとも思わないし、だったら何を心配する必要があるの？ なぜミーティングに行く必要があるの？」と、また考えてしまうのです。
でも――そんなはずはない！神の恩寵と、ここにいる仲間の皆さんのおかげで、私はそれが真実ではないと知っています。私は毎日、「自分はひとりではない」と思い出させてもらう必要があります。私は自力で酒をやめたわけでも、ひとりでソーバーを続けてきたわけでもありません。私にはAAが必要です。そして、この

を通して出会ったアルコホーリクの仲間たち――今もAAに残っている人たちも、再び飲酒に戻ってしまった人たちも――その存在が必要なのです。
人生は素晴らしく、私は今日という日を楽しむためにここにいます。今の私はしらふで、二日酔いもありません。そして神の御心なら、今夜のグループのZoom AAミーティングにもしらふのままで参加できるでしょう。そのミーティングにも、最近は少し足が遠のいていました。

I'm Nancy and I'm alcoholic. ... fer sure!
I've been lazy about sharing lately, or even reading all the shares. I'm not sure why. I sigh, then think I'll just drop out of the group because it takes up sooo much room in my Gmail account and soooo much time to read the shares of others. But...
Here I am! And, as Mark reminded me in his share - I don't have to drink alcohol, today or any day!
Sometimes my ego tells me that I'm fine; I've been sober 37 years and am cured. I decide, again, that I am not interested in drinking alcohol, so, why worry? Why go to meetings?
HAH! By the Grace of my God, (and all y'all!) I know this isn't true. I NEED that daily reminder that I am not in this alone. I didn't get sober or stay sober all by myself. I need AA. I need my alcoholic friends that I've met through this program, the ones that stayed as well as the ones who went back out.
Life is good and I'm here to enjoy my day! I'm sober now, don't have a hangover, and, my God willing, I'll be sober for my group zoom AA meeting this evening, which I've also been lax about attending.
