記念日（バースデー）を迎えた仲間の皆さん、おめでとうございます。Yuu、おめでとう。そして

へようこそ。今週のミーティングをリードしてくれてありがとう。「AAに来ることは必然だったのか、それとも導かれて来たのか」というテーマを提案してくれてありがとう。
今だからわかるのですが、私はAAへ導かれてきたのだと思います。あるいは、AAに至るはっきりした道筋があったと言えるかもしれません。そこに至るまでを簡単に振り返ると、私の夫はDJをしていて、同じくDJをしていた Buck という、自分がアルコホーリクだと明かして認めている人と一緒に活動していました。彼とその妻の Tex は私たちの友人になりました。私は16年のソーバーを持つ Tex に、自分の飲酒の問題をなんとかする手助けをしてほしいと頼みました。そして Tex の助けを借りて、家族が私のために、カリフォルニア州カリストガにある Duffy’s というリハビリ施設へ入る手配をしてくれました。
その時点から、

の Tex の導き、降伏すること、提案に従うこと、ミーティングに通うこと、AAの書籍を読むこと、そして常にステップ1に立ち返ることを通して、私の人生はさまざまな経験とともに展開してきました。これが、私がAAへ導かれ、その道を歩んできたことについての簡単な感想です。

Hello. Pam, a grateful alcoholic. Congratulations to all sobriety celebrants… Yuu, congratulations. And welcome to everyone at ESH. Thank you, Yuu, for leading our meeting and for your share presenting the topic… whether we inevitably came to AA or were led to it.
Twenty-twenty hindsight suggests that I was led to AA, or someone could say there was a definite path that unfolded. A brief glimpse of how I arrived: my husband DJed with another DJ (Buck) who was openly alcoholic. He and his wife (Tex) became our friends. I asked Tex, who had 16 years of sobriety, to help me curb my drinking. With Tex’s help, my family arranged for me to go to rehab at Duffy’s in Calistoga, California.
From that point on—with guidance from Tex’s sponsor, surrender, following directions, going to meetings, reading, and always returning to Step One—life has unfolded through a variety of experiences. So that’s my capsule comment on being led and following a path to AA.
