の今週のミーティングへようこそ。

ミーティングの構成は、司会者がその週のトピックを選び、グループの誰もがそのトピックについて分かち合ったり、あるいはトピックの代わりに、その月に対応するステップや伝統についてシェアすることができます。例えば、11月にはステップ11や伝統11についてシェアすることができます。より多くの仲間の参加を促すことを目的として、最近このように変更しました。

はメールを用いたグループであるため、シェアする人は、他の形式のミーティングで見られるような笑顔やうなずく姿が見えません。私たちの中には、メールで返事を送ることでその共感や賛同を伝える人もいます。しかし、グループ全体への投稿を最小限に抑えるために、個人的なメッセージはグループを通さず、直接その人に送るようお願いしています。

のミーティングは日曜日の未明早朝以降（米国東部標準時）に始まり、次の土曜日の午後11時59分まで、メンバーは分かち合いを行うことが出来ます。全メンバーは、ご自身のAA記念日である・デートに分かち合いを行うことが推奨されています。AA以前の生活がどうだったか。何が起こって、現在はどうなっているかを、グループの仲間に教えてください。

皆さんこんにちは、アルコホーリクのキッツァです。また24時間ソーバーでいられることに感謝しながら、このミーティングの司会を務めています。

今月でソーバー44年を迎えます。自分でも信じがたいです。あの頃の私はとても若くて、どうしようもないバカ者で、よくもまあ誰かが関わろうと思ってくれたものだと思います。自分は神様で、周りの人間はみんな私のそばにいられるだけでありがたいはずだ、なんて思っていたのです――本当にバカみたいな話です！でも私はそれを本気で信じていて、AAミーテイングのテーブルを囲む仲間たちがそのことに気づかせてくれるまでには、しばらく時間がかかりました。けれど彼らは、私にも希望があること、そしてミーティングに通い続ける必要があることを納得させてくれました。

自分の人生がもっと良くなるという希望、いつか鏡の中の自分を見て、その自分に満足できるようになるという希望、今日一日だけ飲まずにいられるという希望、そしてに書かれている約束（第６章の promise）が自分にも起こるという希望。

AAミーティングの会場に足を踏み入れたときの私は、本当にめちゃくちゃで、よりよい人生への希望なんてすっかり失っていました。でも不思議なことに、その頑固な頭の中に少しずつ希望の光が差し込みはじめ、良い一日を過ごせるようになり、実際に筋の通った判断ができるようになっていきました。生きることへの恐れは、AAのミーティング会場にある愛に少しずつ置き換えられていったのです。

今では、人生がきつくなったときや、本来関わる必要のないことに首を突っ込んでしまったときでも、「なんとかなる」という希望が私を支えてくれますし、最終的には神が采配しているのだと信じています。

亡くなった夫ががんと闘っていて、私が一人で看病していたとき、私は神が私を支えて乗り越えさせてくれるという希望、そして自分はきっと大丈夫だという希望にすがっていました。

今では人生はとても素晴らしく、しらふでどうやって生きるかを導いてくれるAAのにつながったことに感謝しています。なんという贈り物でしょう！！！

WELCOME TO THE ESH WEEKLY MEETING

The structure of an ESH meeting is that the chairperson selects a topic for the week and anyone in the group has the option to share on that topic or as an alternative, a member may share on the step or tradition correlating to the month of the year. For example, in November you may share on Step 11 or Tradition 11. This is a recent change we hope will encourage more participation.

Since ESH is an email-based group, a person who shares does not see the smile or nodding head that he/she does in other meeting formats. Some of us provide that validation through an email response. In order to keep the postings to a minimum for the entire group, we do request that personal messages be sent directly to that person and not via the Group.

The ESH meeting will begin no earlier than Sunday morning anytime after midnight EST and members are requested to post their shares no later than the following Saturday night at 11:59 PM EST. All members are encouraged to share their A.A. anniversary on their annual sobriety date. Tell the group what your life was like before AA, what happened, and what it's like today.

Hello all, Kitza here, alcoholic and happy to be sober another 24 hours and chairing this meeting.

This month I will celebrate 44 years sober, so hard to believe. I was so young and such a knucklehead, it’s a wonder anyone wanted anything to do with me. I was GOD and everyone was blessed to be around me—what a lot of crap! But I believed it, and it took a while for my friends around the AA tables to get through to me. But they had me convinced that there was hope for me and that I needed to keep coming back.

Hope that my life would be better, hope that someday I would be able to look in the mirror and be happy with who I was, hope that I could go another 24 hours without drinking, hope that the promises in the Big Book would come true for me as well.

I was such a mess when I walked into the rooms of AA that any hope I had about a better life was gone. But somehow a little light of hope started coming into my stubborn brain, and I began having some good days and actually making some decisions that made sense. The fear of life was being replaced with the love in the AA rooms.

Today, when life gets tough or I get into business I really have no reason to be in, hope that it will take care of itself carries me, and I trust that God is in charge.

When my late husband was fighting cancer and I was his sole caregiver, I leaned on hope that God would carry me through and that I was going to be OK.

Today life is so good, and I am grateful that I have had an AA program to guide me on how to live sober. What a gift!!!
