今週のトピックについて、私はソーバー13年から15年くらいの頃に特にきつい時期がありました。男性向けのリハビリ施設で開かれていた、かなり大きなグループの
セクレタリAAグループの実務担当者
（実務担当）をしていたのです。
サービスAAの奉仕活動
の役割も多くて忙しく、役割や実務はやりたがらないのに、実際に動いている人やボランティアに対して「ああすべきだこうすべきだ」と口出しする人もたくさんいました。
私は新しい仲間が大好きだけど、いわゆる “組織的な” AAの役割は苦手です。でも数年ごとに一応やることはやっています（笑）。自分がなかなか馴染めないことや、無理に馴染もうとしていることを
スポンサーAAプログラムなどを指導してくれる先輩役のメンバー
にこぼしたら、「そもそも自分がどんな場所に無理に収まろうとしているのかに気づいたほうがいい」と言われました（笑）。そして、「大事なのは忍耐と寛容さであって、人気者になろうとして取り入ることじゃない」とも言われました。
そのときの解放感はすばらしいものでしたし、その後の年月を通して、同じような考えを持つ人たちはたくさんいて、そういう人たちはただ自然と自分の人生に現れてくるのだということを学びました。まるで奇跡のように。
チャック・S はその一人でした。何年も前、彼がヒューストンに移ってきて、私の持っていたいくつものガレージの一つを借りて、見事な木工仕事をしていたのです。あの頃のことは本当に良い思い出です。ホワイト・オーク・グループには、その「チップホルダー（メダル入れ）を作ったヤンキーの男」を覚えている仲間たちもいます（笑）。

Hi all. Lin C alcoholic for sure and love this topic.
I had a particularly rough time with this around 13-15 years. I was secretary at a fairly large group that met at a men’s detox. It was a busy work with lots of service jobs and lots of people who didn’t want the title or the work but wanted to tell those volunteering and doing the work how it should be done.
I love newcomers and I hate corporate AA jobs but I pay my dues every few years lol. I whined to my sponsor about my lack of fitting in and trying so hard to fit in and she said I needed to look at what I was trying to fit into. lol. She said patience and tolerance was my code not trying to suck up to be popular.
The relief was wonderful and all thru the years I have learned there are plenty of like minded folks who just show up in my life. Miraculously.
Chuck S was one many years ago when he came to live in Houston and rented one of my many garages to do his miraculous woodworking. Those years are a really good memory. There are folks in the White Oak group who remember that Yankee guy who made the chip holder. lol
