Expectations are a premeditated resentment.
The problem is this world is full of humans, a species full of dysfunctions of their own. If you choose to engage with them, they will eventually let you down.
This does not mean I suit up in my armor every morning prepared to ward off the emotional blows of others. You see, God is my shield now. When somebody or something does not do what I expected, then that must be the way God wants it. Thus, I can either accept that's the way it should be or else get myself tangled in emotional knots.
