仲間の皆さんこんにちは、アルコホーリクのローリーです。

記憶をたどる限りでは、私は1995年にソーバーになって間もなくに参加しました。それ以来、おそらく30年近く、は私のリカバリーの一部であり続けています。Zoomミーティングが「当たり前」になるずっと以前から、はそこにありました。ほぼ毎日のように皆さんのシェアを読み、リカバリーに関するテーマについて振り返る時間を持ってきました。世界中の仲間たちの声を聞けることも、私はとても大好きでした。

このグループのことを本当に大切に思っているからこそ、今回はグループそのものについての、トピックから外れる投稿を送らせてください。私はビジネス・ミーティングを代表して話しているわけではありません。以下に書くのは、あくまで私個人の考えです。

グループとして、私たちは今、ひとつのジレンマに直面しています。

には、対面グループで行われるビジネスミーティングと同様に、グループ全体に影響する決定にメンバーが参加するためのビジネス・メーリングリストがあります。奉仕を任されたしもべとしての役職は：

ビジネス・グループ・モデレータ（進行役）
（実務担当）
会計係
リスト・キーパー（連絡先リスト管理者）
リスト・キーパー・副
Rep（インターグループ担当）
Rep（インターグループ担当）副

2026年については、この役割を決める手続きが実施されていません。事前の打診では、立候補の可能性がある人は見つかりませんでした。その結果、現在このグループにはこれらの奉仕を任されたしもべ（Trusted Servants）が選出されていません。

現在、ビジネス・ミーティングのモデレーター不在のまま、奉仕を任されたしもべを選出するための臨時（アドホック）選挙に直面しています。私たち3名が一時的な委員会として、奉仕を任されたしもべの選挙を運営する予定であり、そのための動議が現在、ビジネス・ミーティングに提出され、審議待ちとなっています。

その動議が可決されたとしても、なお奉仕を任されたしもべの各ポジションに立候補する候補者を見つける必要があります。もしそれができなければ、グループおよびミーティングを解散せざるを得ない状況に直面する可能性があります。

もしの継続を望んでおられるのでしたら、どうか次のことをご検討ください：

ローリーが必要な役職を列挙してくれましたが、もうひとつあります…グリーター／シップ・リストキーパー です。

私はこれらの役職のいくつかを務めたことがありますが、さほど時間を取られるものではないと自信をもって言えます。

ローリーの提案の通り、ビジネス・ミーティングにもっと多くのメンバーが参加してくれることを期待しています。

Hi All, my name is Laurie and I am an alcoholic.

As closely as I can remember, I joined ESH shortly after I got sober in 1995. It has been a part of my recovery for probably 30 years. Long before zoom meetings were a "thing", ESH was there. On an almost daily basis, I read your shares and reflect on a recovery-related topic. I've also loved hearing from people all over the world.

Because I do care about this group, I am sending this off-topic post about the group itself. I am NOT speaking for the Business Meeting; the thoughts below are only mine.

As a group, we are facing a dilemma.

ESH maintains a business list where group members participate in decisions affecting the group as a whole, similar to a business meeting held by face-to-face groups. Trusted servant positions are filled annually and include:

Business Group Moderator
Secretary
Treasurer
List Keeper
Assistant List Keeper
OIAA Rep
Assistant OIAA rep

This process has NOT occurred for 2026. Preliminary inquiries did not identify potential candidates. As a result, there are no currently elected trusted servants for the group.

We now are facing an ad hoc election of trusted servants without a business meeting moderator. There are three of us who will serve as a temporary committee to conduct the election of trusted servants and a motion to do that is pending before the business meeting.

Assuming the motion is passed, we still need to identify candidates for the trusted servant positions. If we are unable to do so, we may face having to disband the group and meeting.

If you are interested in seeing ESH continue, won't you please:

Join the business meeting (address below) so your voice is part of the decision-making process for this group; and

Consider service through volunteering for a service position.

I’m also sorry to interrupt the regular meeting but feel this is truly a critical matter and time for our group.

As Laurie listed the positions we need to fill there is another one… Greeter/Sponsorship Listkeeper.

I’ve served in several of these and can assure you they are not time consuming.

I hope to see some more members over at the business meeting as Laurie suggested.

It’s not too dramatic saying the future of the group depends on you.
