グリマーとは何でしょうか？ トピックの中心的なものですね…。 そこで、いつものように辞書を開いてみました…。
今まで調べたことがなかったので、その意味に驚きました。「glimmer (名詞) かすかな光、きらめき（希望の光）。」
言葉の定義を考えると、正直に言って、この言葉やそのような状態が私の人生に現れたのは、AAが現在のような共同体や選択肢として存在するずっと前のことでした。
回復とは、これまでも、そして今もなお、あまりにも速く、多様で、頻繁に変化するものであり、それは例えるならばまるで列車の進路上にいるようなものです…まるでコヨーテがロードランナーを追いかけるかのように。
AAは時間とともに薄れていくような片手間の活動ではありません。 それは私の存在のあらゆる側面に浸透する包括的な力であり、ほぼ40年にわたって続いています。AAに出会う前、私は9年間も飲酒をコントロールしようと試みましたが、うまくいきませんでした。

What is a glimmer? Kind of central to the topic.... So as is my custom I opened a dictionary...
I was surprised at the meaning, having never looked it up glimmer n. Faint light: gleam(of hope)
Given that definition, I can honestly say the only time This word or state of being had any manifestation in my life was long before AA even surfaced as an organization or option.
Recovery has and continues to be changes so common rapid varied that it is akin to being in the pathway of a metaphorical train.. a la the coyote chasing the roadrunner.
AA is not a part time activity.that diminishes over time. It is an all encompassing force that permeates all aspects of my existence and has for almost four decades. Prior to AA i had spent 9 years unsuccessfully trying to control my drinking
I read the first 8 chapters of the big bookin about an hour and a bit on the night I was given it.. and stopped because none of the suggestions contained there in made any sense.
As for glimmers of a potential future... The examples and potential outcomes of following this programme were as subtle as the Sistine chapel ceiling, hardly faint or transitory.
I took in the Big Book.. read and studied the Traditions.. And as I got into service with both feet...Studied ad followed the Concepts and Warranties.. not to forget the Fun Seekers Guide to Contented Sobriety.. also known as the AA service manual.
I still go to on average 7 meetings, often more..I am still a service bunny and hang with same.
There are no opportunities for glimmers, except. Those that shine forth from the struggling newcomer when they start to get it and see the rewards start to happen.
Sobriety is more than a glimmer...It is a shining beacon that precedes us all.. promising ever more new and exciting visions of things yet to come.. and at times change that has occurred in the background just outside conscious awareness .
Sobriety is a lifestyle that is all encompassing and dovetails nicely into the life challenges hat come along.
The glimmers I see.. are in the eyes of he newbi3s as they become aware.. that sobriety is open, even to them
