私はひどく優柔不断で、先延ばしをしがちで、恐れ（さまざまな名前の恐れ ―― 疑念、不安……）に麻痺させられてきました。ほぼ毎日、「第一のものは第一に（First Things First）」という考えがなければ、前に進むことができません。いつも、目の前にはやるべきことが何かしらあります ―― 皿洗い、洗濯、歯を磨く ―― 何かしらがあります。私が行動を起こすとき ―― とにかく今すぐできる小さなことを一つやってみれば、次に何をすべきか（正しい方向）が自然と見えてくるのです。
私は朝にコーヒーを飲みますが、そのすぐ後に一日の最初の行動として黙想を行います。24時間という一日一日の単位で見れば、この最初の黙想は健やかな一日を送るために欠かせないものです。もしそれが中断されたりすると、その日のうちに必ず何か違和感を感じます。真実／
ハイヤーパワー（HP=ハイヤーパワー）神、または高次の力、自分を超えた大きな力。意志と生き方をゆだねる対象。

Thank you, Dave. I love "First Things First." This slogan, among others, have made some sanity possible.
I am a great ditherer, procrastinator and have been paralyzed by fear (- all of its many names - doubt, anxiety.....). Almost everyday, I need First Things First to move forward. Always there is something to do that's obvious - the dishes, laundry, brushing teeth - something. When I get into action - any act that needs doing, the next right thing becomes obvious.
I do have a morning brew but soon after, the first action of everyday is meditation. As far as my 24-hr. units, my first act of meditation is essential for a healthy day. If that is interrupted, I always sense it in the day. I'm off kilter if I do not work at aligning myself with Truth/HP/God - Reality.
As my German sponsee says:
Align and shine.
First Things First is to align - be in the middle of the path, then we shine as we trudge.
