振り返ってみると、自分の欠点は自己中心的な恐れと、自分の人生を自分でコントロールしようとする努力が生んだものでした。「私の意志ではなく、あなた意志が行われますように」と繰り返し唱えることで、私は自己中心性を取り除き、より役に立つ人間になるよう、神の計画に協調しているのだと感じています。

To become ENTIRELY willing I had to grapple with my defects for something like a year at which point I realized these defects, like alcohol, were not mine to overcome. Defeated, I surrendered to God at greater depth. I became ENTIRELY READY for the 7th step.
Looking back, I see my defects were the result of my self-centered fear and effort to run my life. By saying not my will but thine over and over I am cooperating with God's plan to remove self centeredness from me and make me more useful.
